I was desperately looking for a story in Changsha, Hunan Province, and didn't want to do a story about the Orange photography festival which was taken place in the city.

So on my way to get a cab to go downtown, I saw hundreds of fans waiting in line in front of a KTV. I found out that one of the most famous taiwanese boys band called Farenheit (in chinese: Fei lun Hai)was in town for an afternoon autograph session and a concert in the evening at the stadium of the Changsha Foreign Studies university was also scheduled.

One of the fan told me a bit about who this boys band was, what kind of songs they were singing and why they were so popular throughout Asia.

I set up my tripod and my camera, and started to shoot the fans, asked them a lot of questions. It was fascinating for me to see how these fans, mainly females in their teens were fond of this band.

The fans were enthusiastic and proudly holding posters of their idols, shouting their names and one fan even tattooed their name on her shoulder.

Then in the evening, I decided to attend the concert.I was curious about this band and its fans.

It was very exciting and again fascinating to be among these devoted fans. I was expecting the fans to be hysterical, screaming and dancing, but they were not like I imagined.

The following multimedia piece mixes audio, stills and video.

This is the first multimedia piece which i produced and at first i was a bit confused about when to shoot video and when to shoot stills. I finally decided to keep the stills because the video sequence turned out to be a bit shaky and not of a good quality.
